DroneMapper

DroneMapper is a drone mapping and photogrammetry software that allows for converting images captured from above into highly accurate and georeferenced geospatial data. The solution offers imagery processing for drones to be used in areas like surveying, agriculture, mining, construction, infrastructure development, environmental monitoring, and GIS.

Here are some of the drone map outputs that DroneMapper can produce. Such outputs include orthomosaic maps, Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Digital Surface Models (DSM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), point clouds, textured 3D models, and others that will be ready to use in GIS.

The tool is available for both cloud processing and a desktop version. The capabilities of DroneMapper photogrammetry allow for processing geotagged images from UAVs and using GCPs for better accuracy if needed. The proper image overlap, geotagged images, camera metadata, and adequate flight planning will be essential for quality output results.

For those projects with greater needs for geospatial accuracy, DroneMapper provides ground control point (GCP) processing capability. The GCP coordinates give precise coordinates that assist in constraining the photogrammetric reconstruction and help in the absolute position of the resulting maps. DroneMapper recommends GCPs in cases where precise results are needed.

No matter what your application may be, whether it be surveys, maps, engineering, agriculture, mining, or GIS, DroneMapper offers photogrammetry solutions to transform aerial images into geospatial data.
