Y-axis

The Y-axis, or vertical axis, is a key component of a coordinate system used to display and measure data on graphs and charts. It extends vertically from the bottom to the top and usually represents the dependent variable, which changes based on the independent variable shown on the X-axis. Each point on a graph has a Y-coordinate that defines its vertical location in relation to the origin.
