LAANC

The Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) is an innovative airspace management system developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to simplify and accelerate the authorization process for drone operations in controlled airspace. It enables drone pilots, including commercial operators and recreational flyers, to obtain near real-time airspace approvals through FAA-approved service providers instead of waiting for manual authorization. By digitizing the approval process, LAANC significantly reduces delays, improves operational efficiency, and promotes regulatory compliance.
